Meet Joe D'Andrea
I have spent the last 29 years working in the Food & Beverage Industry, not only here in Australia, but also across Europe and Canada. I have been lucky to visit and work with F&B businesses of all shapes and sizes in over 50 cities around the world. What these businesses all have in common is that they are run by smart, passionate, entrepreneurial people who are in business not just for profits, but because they want to make a difference.
That’s the thing about the F&B industry, to be in it for a long time, you have to love it. It will never make you super-rich but you will be enriched in other ways that make you feel alive. It is the only industry that engages all five of your senses – the vision of a beautiful buffet table, the sound of a steak sizzling on a griddle, the aroma of a freshly expressed coffee, the feel of kneading sourdough bread and the delicious taste of a morsel of your favorite dish. This is why we do what we do, and it's not easy at the best of times.
I founded the Ministry of Better Business to help F&B businesses refocus their businesses now to be better in the future. I have first-hand experience of what running a F&B business feels like, and it's not easy. In fact, it's exhausting and relentless even in good times. I believe I can help you make a difference and if I can't, I don’t expect to be engaged. What I do expect, however, is to make strong, respectful business relationships with like-minded individuals who are doing their best to make their businesses better in every way. I believe that sometimes, having someone come in and view your business from a different perspective can uncover untapped opportunities to drive revenues, increase profits, and create better customer experiences.
